3M Uses Social Media to Help Build Community

How can a mega-business like 3M have meaningful, consistent interaction with its customers all over the country? 3M Graphics Market Center recently launched a Facebook page and Twitter feed as a way to engage with its customers. According to Heidi Anderson, marketing communications supervisor for 3M Graphics, "We wanted to create a forum where our customers could get tips, share ideas and interact with one another.
